Job summary

Hi Marley in Boston is seeking a Sr. IT Systems Engineer to own the internal tech stack, automating identity lifecycle, device management, and AI-enabled workflows to keep teams productive and secure.

The role is hands-on, collaborating with architecture and security leadership, and requires 5+ years in IT systems engineering; the position offers a collaborative, hybrid setup in Boston 2–3 days per week with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on experience in IT systems engineering and SaaS operations.
Strong experience with identity, SSO, and provisioning workflows (Microsoft Entra, SCIM, SAML).
Experience supporting end users of LLM-powered tools and agents (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor): provisioning access, helping build simple agents or automations, and guiding safe use.
Knowledge of email security and authentication standards (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
Proficiency using Jamf for MDM/endpoint management.
Ability to automate workflows using Python, APIs, or low/no-code automation tools.
Practical experience administering Microsoft 365, Slack, and Jira/Confluence in production.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Identity, Access & Lifecycle Automation: Implement conditional access in IdP, SCIM provisioning, and onboarding/offboarding workflows linked to HRIS and ticketing.
ITSM & Request Portal Modernization: Build a modern Jira Service Management portal with forms, approvals, and knowledge articles.
Endpoint & Device Management: Develop and maintain macOS MDM baselines, enforce security, support zero-touch deployment.
AI-Native Productivity & Internal Tooling: Manage access to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor; support agents and automations; coach safe AI use.
Automation, Integrations & Internal Tooling: Automate high-volume IT and People Ops workflows via scripts/APIs/low-code.
SaaS Administration & Governance: Administer core platforms (Microsoft 365/Entra, Slack, Jira/Confluence, Zoom, Salesforce) with governance.
Email & Internet Security Support: Maintain SPF/DKIM/DMARC, tune Exchange Online and security policies.
