Job summary

LangChain is seeking an experienced IT Engineer to scale our fleet management, SaaS administration, and security posture for a global team in San Francisco. You will drive automation, implement secure identity controls, and build scalable desktop environments using a modern tech stack.

You will manage LangSmith administration, integrate systems via REST APIs, and lead fleet/configuration tooling efforts to support rapid growth. Strong scripting, IaC, and networking skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in IT engineering and systems administration.
• Deep proficiency with Okta and Okta Workflows.
• Fluency in Python or JavaScript with production-ready scripting.
• Strong experience with REST APIs, webhooks and API authentication.
• Demonstrated ability to build automations that reduce manual work.
• Hands-on IaC experience using Terraform and related tooling.
• Experience using coding agents (Claude Code) to accelerate automation.
• Exposure to a modern SaaS stack and internal tools management.
• Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain IT infrastructure and tech stack that scales with growth.
• Drive automation initiatives using scripts, APIs and workflow tools.
• Implement monitoring and documentation for operational excellence.
• Reimagine Mac fleet deployment and manage secure desktop environments.
• Own fleet management and deployment consistency with versioned tooling.
• Develop secure, scalable security controls and deployment processes.
• Manage LangSmith administration and automate its workflows via APIs.
• Support global employees with hardware, software, networking, and IT tools.
