Job summary

Crane Aerospace and Electronics is seeking an IT Systems Engineer II or III for on-site work in Lynnwood, WA or Burbank, CA. You will design, deploy, and support compute infrastructure both on-prem and in the cloud, balancing hardware and software solutions with up-to-date installation documentation.

The role requires strong problem-solving skills, experience with hypervisors and cloud compute, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compliance with SOX, DFARS, ITAR

Qualifications

• BS degree in a computer-oriented technical discipline or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Patch and manage data center and cloud technologies including VMware, Nutanix, Azure, and Oracle OCI.
• Ensure uptime of critical business systems and infrastructure through monitoring and timely remediation of infrastructure issues.
• Deploy and manage virtual machines both on-prem and in the cloud.
• Provide troubleshooting and recommendations for improvements on existing and new systems.
• Preserve data assets and ensure back-up procedures meet or exceed policies.
• Help implement and support disaster recovery for key systems.
