Job summary

Baltimore City Government is seeking an Information Technology Specialist to provide technical support for personal computers, network infrastructure, and mainframe client servers. Qualifications

• Education: Have a bachelor's degree in science from an accredited college or university.
• Experience: Have four years of related specialty IT experience (e.g. system engineering, network engineering, information security, application programming, systems design, database management, GIS, reporting or cloud integration).
• Equivalency: Equivalent combination of education and experience also qualifies.
• Preferred: Advanced credentials such as PMP or CISM.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers for PCs and network infrastructure.
• Test, update, maintain, and train on mainframe client servers and software/hardware.
• Lead and train less experienced IT Specialists, without full supervisory duties.
