Job summary

Walgreens in Memphis is seeking a desktop support technician responsible for installation, upgrades, troubleshooting and repair of hardware and software on desktops, printers, and related devices. You will handle escalated issues, schedule work, and support manager tasks as needed.

You will track issues, document resolutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex problems. Weekend/holiday shifts may be required; travel up to 10% to area sites.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and 2+ years in IT support/technical role.
• Experience with desktops, printers, and RF devices.
• Familiarity with Windows OS, MS Office.
• Ability to translate technical terms for non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, upgrades, troubleshooting and repair of desktop hardware and software.
• Use tracking software to monitor issue resolution and tickets.
• Provide support for manager tasks and cross-functional collaboration.
• Document fault patterns and coordinate with engineering/vendor teams for permanent fixes.
• Maintain inventories of supplies and equipment; assist deployment and repairs.
