Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a storage solutions engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable IT storage infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments. You will work with IT, product, analytics and business teams to meet organizational needs and drive reliability and performance.

The role involves monitoring, backup/recovery management, DR/cyber recovery testing, and documenting processes while mentoring junior engineers and upholding governance and security standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Experience designing, implementing and supporting large-scale storage solutions.
• Familiarity with HIPAA/compliance guidelines and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing, designing, testing, implementing, and automating technical IT storage solutions.
• Providing production monitoring, storage capacity management, and storage ecosystem support.
• Assisting in data backup and recovery management including DR testing and cyber recovery activities.
• Collaborating on storage architectures to align with enterprise goals and standards.
• Gathering requirements from IT, product, analytics and business teams to deliver storage solutions.
