Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a remote-based Storage Solutions Engineer to support design, development and maintenance of IT storage solutions across our technical ecosystem. You will collaborate with infrastructure, networks, and applications teams to ensure scalable, secure storage architectures.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in storage design/implementation, strong problem-solving skills, and experience with NetApp, backup, and Linux environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of experience analyzing, designing, coding, testing and implementing technical solutions and providing production support.
• 5 years of technical problem solving and team/project collaboration.
• 5 years of basic CS concepts and OS, development languages/scripting.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, test, implement and automate technical IT storage solutions.
• Provide production monitoring, storage capacity management, and storage ecosystem support.
• Assist in data backup and recovery management including DR and cyber recovery testing.
• Collaborate on storage architectures to meet enterprise goals and standards.
• Gather requirements with stakeholders to provide technical storage solutions.
