Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking an experienced Storage Solutions Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our enterprise IT storage stack. You will collaborate with IT, product, analytics, and business teams to deliver scalable storage architectures, ensure data integrity, and drive automation across storage platforms.

The role emphasizes out-of-the-box thinking, fault tolerance, performance optimization, and staying current with cloud storage services.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field.
5 years of experiences in analyzing, designing, coding, testing and implementing technical solutions with production support.
5 years of technical problem solving and cross-team collaboration.
5 years of basic CS concepts and OS, scripting knowledge.

Responsibilities

Analyze, design, test, implement, and automate technical IT storage solutions.
Monitor production, capacity management, and storage ecosystem support.
Assist in data backup and recovery management, including DR and cyber recovery testing.
Collaborate on storage architectures aligned to enterprise goals and standards.
Gather requirements across IT, product, analytics, and business teams.
Track progress against schedules, report issues to leadership.
Document processes and participate in technical reviews and knowledge sharing.
Mentor associate engineers as needed.
