Job summary

CVS Health seeks a Senior IT Category Manager, Strategic Sourcing to lead indirect IT category initiatives, including infrastructure procurement. You will combine data, tech, and business partnership to modernize sourcing decisions and drive enterprise value.

The role focuses on IT hardware, data center, network, servers, laptops, telephony, and CCaaS. Travel up to 10% is expected; a Bachelor's degree is required with MBA preferred.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years working experience.
• 5–7 years of professional experience related to Sourcing & Category Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Analytics, Project Management, or Management Consulting.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evolve multi‑year category strategies using market intel and TCO.
• Define category negotiation approaches aligned to financial goals.
• Lead stakeholder reviews to align roadmaps with enterprise strategy.
• Use spend analytics to inform planning and cost reduction.
• Advance strategy with AI, automation, and analytics.
• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing initiatives from RFx to contract.
• Execute negotiations with productivity and pricing mechanisms.
• Deliver year‑over‑year savings via opportunity pipelines.
• Apply competitive bidding and total value frameworks.
• Act as trusted advisor translating sourcing strategies to business results.
• Drive cross‑functional alignment with Finance, Legal, IT, Contracting, Ops.
• Communicate insights in executive‑ready formats.
• Develop sourcing talent in analytics and negotiation.
• Foster data‑driven decision making and continuous improvement.
• Show strong leadership in evolving or transformational environments.
