Job summary

Southern California Edison is pursuing a Senior Manager, IT Solution Planning & Delivery (AMI 2.0) to lead IT system integration for 5M+ smart meters across SCE’s service area. You will drive architecture, back-office modernization, and analytics initiatives while coordinating with vendors and stakeholders to deliver resilient, scalable IT solutions.

Ideal candidates bring senior PM leadership, portfolio strategy expertise, and experience with enterprise IT projects, ERP deployments, and hybrid

Qualifications

• Five+ years of supervising a team and managing projects.
• Experience creating long-term IT vision and roadmaps.
• Experience in technical leadership of project portfolio planning.
• Master’s degree or higher in Engineering, CS, Economics, MBA, or related field.
• Experience delivering enterprise IT solutions including ERP implementations.
• 3+ years IT portfolio or product line management.
• Familiarity with Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid-Agile methods.
• Leadership across scope, schedule, budget, risks, and resources.
• Experience managing large system integrators.
• Utility industry/AMI/grid tech experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops long-term vision and strategic roadmap for the project management competency.
• Cultivates relationships with business partners and vendors to achieve operational excellence.
• Directs project portfolio planning and ongoing optimization of resources.
• Enhances program increment planning, dependency management, and synchronization of Agile release trains.
• Promotes collaboration between project teams to share knowledge, align architecture, and standardize processes.
• Provides coaching and mentoring to project managers on Agile principles.
• Drives initiatives to improve team velocity, defect rates, and sprint burndown metrics.
• Protecting assets and data per security standards and compliance.
