Job summary

Wipfli LLP in the St. Louis area is seeking a Senior Consultant to design and implement technology solutions that improve business processes. You will interact with clients, assess environments, and guide project delivery across Microsoft 365, Azure, AD, and SharePoint.

The role offers flexibility to work 100% in person or in a hybrid environment with occasional client-site visits, and requires about 15% travel within MO. Strong technical and consultative skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience.
• 7+ years of technology solutions experience in a professional services firm or 10+ years in private industry with 1+ year in professional services.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Azure and Active Directory.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% within the U.S.
• Advanced certifications are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Act as a level-three escalation resource for complex service desk issues and coordinate resolutions.
• Assess client environments across Microsoft 365, Azure, Azure Active Directory/Active Directory, SharePoint, endpoint devices, servers, and cloud apps.
• Document and maintain client technology roadmaps, baseline security reviews, and prioritized improvement plans.
• Lead recurring client maintenance and security review discussions with analysis of reports.
• Identify risks, modernization opportunities, and process improvements with actionable recommendations.
• Scope, price, and monitor project work plans, budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
• Proactively communicate cost, quality, schedule, and risks; update client on work plan status.
• Train and mentor Consultant I’s and II’s; delegate work to enable development.
• Lead research and development to deliver innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

The Senior Consultant can work either 100% in person or in a hybrid environment, with office visits as needed, in the St. Louis, MO area. About 15% travel to client locations in MO is required.

The Senior Consultant will develop and implement solutions for clients that are either consultative or technical in nature that provide improvements to the client’s business processes and information technology. They will interface regularly with clients and others outside Wipfli.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a level-three escalation resource for complex service desk issues, troubleshooting client technology environments, gathering requirements, diagnosing local network/server/cloud issues, and coordinating with internal SMEs or project teams to drive resolutions

• Assess client environments across Microsoft 365, Azure, Azure Active Directory/Active Directory, SharePoint, endpoint devices, servers, virtualized environments, local networks, firewalls, switches, and cloud-based applications

• D ocument and maintain client technology roadmaps, baseline security reviews, and prioritized improvement plans that clearly explain technical findings, business impact, priorities, and recommended next steps

• Lead recurring client maintenance and security review discussions by analyzing reports related to stale users and devices, antivirus coverage, security score gaps, auditing/security settings, network equipment, and roadmap progress

• Identify risks, modernization opportunities, and process improvements, present clear and actionable recommendations, and develop solutions

• Scope, price, a nd monitor project work plans, budgets, timelines, deliverables, and out-of-scope requests for internal and client projects

• P roactively communicate cost, quality, schedule, and risks to project leade r and recommend practical solutions ; proactively communicate work plan status with client

• Train and mentor Consultant I’s and Consultant II’s; delegate and leverage work to enable associate development

• Leads and participates in research and development and foundational efforts to position the team to learn, develop, and deliver innovative solutions to the market

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• 7+ years of technology solutions experience in a professional services firm or 10+ years of private industry technology solutions experience with 1+ years in a professional services firm

• Proficiency with Microsoft Azure and Active Directory

• Experience working with clients on-site; up to 15% travel to client locations within the U.S

• Possesses or works towards obtaining appropriate advanced certifications

• Demonstrated blend of technical expertise and consultative ability to assess needs and deliver value-driven solutions

• Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize multiple projects under pressure while quickly responding to unexpected events or changing priorities

• Training, support or consulting advisory experience is preferred; experience serving clients in healthcare or financial institutions industries is preferred
