Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a Senior Manager, IT - Software Engineering and Development to lead the teams responsible for OTC Sales Execution, OMS+, and integrations linking SAP S/4HANA with OMNI, Salesforce, and related sales apps. You will own solution strategy, design, and lifecycle management, partnering with business leaders to ensure value delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, application development, enterprise applications, integrations, or technology delivery.
• Experience leading managers and professional teams accountable for multiple related applications or engineering capabilities.
• Experience managing application strategy, roadmaps, budgets, capacity, delivery, operations, vendors, and service performance.
• Experience delivering and supporting integrated order management, sales execution, CRM, digital commerce, ERP, or other enterprise solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead managers and professional staff responsible for OTC Sales Execution, OMS+, and integrations.
• Own the solution strategy, system design, configuration approach, technical roadmap, lifecycle, and service model for the portfolio.
• Partner with business leaders to align processes, controls, and technology with priorities and outcomes.
• Translate business requirements into complete, testable, scalable, secure solutions.
• Direct solution delivery from requirements through development, testing, deployment, and transition to support.
• Establish and enforce standards across internal and partner teams.
• Coordinate dependencies and data flows across SAP S/4HANA, OMS+, OMNI, Salesforce, and related systems.
• Prioritize enhancements, defects, and technical debt based on value and risk.
• Manage backlogs, release plans, capacity, and resource allocation.
• Confirm readiness, testing, cutover planning, training, and deployment approval.
• Ensure delivered capabilities meet objectives, controls, and customer expectations.
• Own stability, performance, and continuous improvement of applications.
• Lead resolution of complex issues affecting outcomes.
• Balance modernization with existing platforms and communicate trade-offs.
• Coordinate delivery across BFS teams, integrators, and vendors.
• Shape roadmaps, investment priorities, and adoption plans.
• Develop technical training content for new functionality.
