Job summary

Linqx, LLC is seeking a Senior IT Software Engineer to lead architecture, design, and development of business-critical software. You will drive full-stack development, modernization, and cloud adoption within a focused, on-site Houston team.

The role emphasizes Microsoft technologies, enterprise apps, and collaboration with stakeholders across engineering and operations to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field; equivalent combo of education and experience considered.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise software development, design, and/or architecture.
• Strong Microsoft technology background with hands-on C++, MFC, C#, .NET/.NET Core, and SQL Server.
• Experience developing Windows-based desktop and/or customer-facing business apps.
• Strong database design and development with SQL Server.
• Experience developing middleware, APIs, integrations, and SOA.
• Experience with modern front-end tech (Angular, React, React Native).
• Experience with Azure DevOps or JIRA for requirements, tracking, and releases.
• Experience developing cloud apps, with Azure preferred.
• Proven lead/developer role with mentoring and delivery responsibility.
• Strong software architecture, design patterns, scalability, performance, maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead software development initiatives as technical authority for projects.
• Design, architect, develop, test, and support enterprise applications.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to internal and external developers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define software requirements and solutions.
• Lead full SDLC activities including architecture reviews, coding standards, deployment planning.
• Develop and maintain front-end, middleware, API, and database layers.
• Drive modernization, cloud migration, and cloud-native architecture efforts.
• Integrate operational and engineering data systems with analytics and reporting.
