Job summary

University of Central Florida’s IT Information Security Office seeks an Information Technology Security Professional IV. This senior role leads incident response, supports SOC operations, and designs secure infrastructure across enterprise and CUI environments.

You will collaborate with researchers, compliance teams, and stakeholders to strengthen cybersecurity posture. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or 9 years with no degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related experience or 9 years in lieu of degree.
• Experience supporting SOC and incident response functions is preferred.
• Knowledge of SIEM, EDR, threat intelligence, firewall, IPS, and VPN technologies.
• Experience with CUI environments and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, Security+ or Microsoft Security certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate cybersecurity incident response activities.
• Support SOC functions including security monitoring and threat hunting.
• Design, implement, and maintain security technologies and secure infrastructure.
• Provide cybersecurity consultation for university initiatives and projects.
• Conduct security assessments and support vulnerability management.
• Develop and enhance security policies, procedures, playbooks, and documentation.
