AltaMed Health Services Corporation is seeking a Senior IT Security Engineer in a hybrid role in Los Angeles, CA. You will identify, evaluate, and implement security controls across endpoints, servers, network devices, and OT/IOT environments to prevent, detect, and respond to threats.

You will lead security projects, guide configurations, and collaborate across technology and business units to strengthen information security posture and ensure policy alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field required; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in IT security with leadership in architecture design and implementation.
• Active information security credential (CISSP, CISM, GIAC/SANS, Palo Alto PCNSE, etc.) required.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and implement technical security controls to prevent, detect, contain, and respond to threats.
• Lead security projects and project teams inside and outside the security department.
• Assist in developing and maintaining information security strategies; align controls with policies and standards.
