AltaMed Health Services Corporation is seeking a Senior IT Security Engineer in a hybrid role in Los Angeles, CA. You will identify, evaluate, and implement security controls across endpoints, servers, network devices, and OT/IOT environments to prevent, detect, and respond to threats.

You will lead security projects, guide configurations, and collaborate across technology and business units to strengthen information security posture and ensure policy alignment.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field required; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in IT security with leadership in architecture design and implementation.
• Active information security credential (CISSP, CISM, GIAC/SANS, Palo Alto PCNSE, etc.) required.

Our commitment to providing exceptional care, despite any challenges, goes beyond just a job; it’s a calling that drives us forward every day.**Job Overview**The Senior IT Security Engineer is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and implementing technical security controls to prevent, detect, contain, and respond to information security threats, which include supporting the technology efforts of AltaMed. This person is required to analyze threats using a variety of security technologies, including email filtering, anti-malware, access control, phishing detection, Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB)/web filtering, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, data loss prevention, and data encryption. Reviews and guides security configuration of a variety of applications and endpoint systems, including servers, desktops, network devices, and Internet of Things (IOT)/Operational Technology (OT) devices. Required to lead projects and project teams within and outside the security department. Must maintain an in-depth understanding of current and emerging security threats, recommending technical and process improvements to protect against such threats. This individual also assists in the development and maintenance of information security strategies and will be required to provide support across other technology and business units, ensuring the implementation and operation of the appropriate security controls across the organization are aligned with Information Security policies and standards.**Minimum Requirements*** Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field required. (Master’s preferred).* Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in IT security, including 3 years of experience in a lead role with responsibility for architecture design and implementation.* Direct hands-on experience in enterprise cybersecurity, demonstrating technical proficiency.* An active information security credential (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC/SANS, Palo Alto PCNSE, CyberArk CDE, SailPoint Certified Engineer, Microsoft Security Associate, or Cisco CCNA/CCNP Security/XDR specialist) is required.**Compensation**$110,539.52 - $138,174.40 annually**Compensation Disclaimer**Actual salary offers are considered by various factors, including budget, experience, skills, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
