CNO Financial Group, Inc. is seeking a Lead IT Security Architect to shape enterprise security architecture standards and drive secure adoption of new technology across the IT landscape.

You will lead risk assessments, define policies, and collaborate with IT and business stakeholders. The role requires 10+ years in IT with 3+ years as security architect, strong communication, and knowledge of AI/ML cybersecurity risks.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in IT, with 3+ years as a security architect or related role.
• Ability to partner with IT and business stakeholders and translate technical concepts.
• Knowledge of AI and machine learning technologies and related cybersecurity risks.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and maintain access governance and SoD controls across the organization.
• Create security architecture standards for new technology adoption.
• Identify security risks and define design requirements for projects.
• Partner with business and IT leaders to set information security direction.
• Develop dashboards and metrics to inform senior leadership on security posture.
• Assess security product costs and industry trends to guide decisions.
• Identify policy gaps and develop new standards as needed.
• Provide security SME input to technology projects and teams.
• Evaluate security software/hardware and integration with existing architecture.
• Perform third-party security risk assessments, including cloud providers.
• Coordinate third-party information requests about the security program.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, PCI, HIPAA/HITECH requirements.
