Job summary

University of Wisconsin–Madison is seeking an IT Project Manager II to oversee Workday Finance and related systems within the WEST PM team. You will coordinate planning, resources, risks, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality outcomes across Finance, HCM, and related modules.

The role requires leading cross-functional teams, aligning projects with institutional priorities, and communicating effectively with executives and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience with Workday or other ERP systems.
• Proven track record leading multi-unit, moderately complex projects in higher education or public sector.
• Advanced proficiency with PM methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
• Experience presenting to executive leadership and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and facilitates communication for vendor workflows and reviews deliverables for moderately complex projects.
• Drafts and delivers project status communications and reports.
• Serves as main client contact in development and implementation of multi-unit projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align goals with priorities.
• Fosters a respectful, inclusive, and safe team environment.
• Provides advanced technical and analytical guidance; identifies tasks and estimates using PM methods.
