Job summary

Universal Logistics Holdings is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex cross-functional initiatives spanning enterprise IT and transportation-technology systems. This role owns projects end-to-end from charter through post-implementation review, across TMS, fleet telematics, EDI/ELD integrations, and general IT integration work.

The Senior PM operates with autonomy on high-risk programs, selecting Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches and mentoring 1 team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelore2a0s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7+ years IT project management experience, including leading complex, multi-team projects.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, and vendor/contract relationships.
• Strong leadership, facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with mentoring experience.
• Excellent verbal, written, and executive-level communication.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar tools.
• Working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle of enterprise IT and transportation-technology projects across software development and system integrations.
• Develop charters, scope statements, work breakdown structures, schedules, RACI, and RAID logs.
• Select and tailor the delivery methodology (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) per project.
• Monitor progress against schedule, scope, and budget; drive corrective action.
• Lead implementations and upgrades of TMS, telematics, EDI/ELD integrations.
• Coordinate with operations, dispatch, safety, and compliance teams; interface with DOT/FMCSA requirements.
• Manage vendor and contractor relationships, including SOWs and performance.
