Job summary

Public Consulting Group (PCG) seeks a seasoned Consultant / Project Manager based in Arizona to lead large IT initiatives. You will manage deliverables, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communications, while applying Agile and Waterfall practices.

The role requires PMP certification, strong MS Project/Office skills, and 5+ years of IT PM experience. Travel/onsite work and a hybrid schedule are expected. PCG offers comprehensive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be based in Arizona.
• Active PMP Certification.
• 5+ years of IT industry experience.
• 5+ years of project management experience using Agile and Waterfall in IT projects.
• Strong MS Office applications skills, especially MS Project.
• Ability to manage projects within defined timelines and budgets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management and technical leadership on large IT projects.
• Oversee deliverables, status reports, and project documentation.
• Plan and manage project work and change management strategies.
• Provide technical oversight of vendor and client processes to minimize risk.
• Perform reviews of tasks and deliverables with risk mitigation in mind.
• Develop, manage, and update the Project Plan and related docs.
• Support planning discussions to address risks and issues to keep schedule and budget.
