Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead high-impact technology initiatives in Randburg, Gauteng. You will plan, execute, and deliver complex IT programs, ensuring they align with business objectives while meeting scope, budget, and schedule constraints.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience across IT infrastructure, software development, and system integration, with proven leadership and excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in IT project management.
• Experience in managing complex IT projects, including infrastructure, software development, and cybersecurity initiatives.
• Strong understanding of ITIL, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end management of critical IT projects, including system upgrades, software implementations, and infrastructure rollouts.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, resource allocation, and timelines.
• Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial objectives are met.
• Coordinate with IT teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies proactively.
• Communicate project progress, key decisions, and potential issues to senior management and stakeholders regularly.
