Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to support enterprise technology infrastructure modernization, cloud transformation, and IT operations initiatives. • 8+ years of IT Project Management experience.
• Experience leading infrastructure-focused projects including data center migrations, server/storage upgrades, cloud initiatives, and network modernization.
• Strong experience managing cross-functional technical teams, vendors, and executive stakeholders.
• Experience developing project governance documentation and executive communications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure and operations projects through full lifecycle from planning to delivery.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and deliverables across initiatives.
• Drive data center migrations, cloud migration efforts, network modernization, and upgrades.

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to support a company focused on enterprise technology infrastructure modernization, cloud transformation, and IT operations initiatives. This position is Hybrid in Fairfax, VA. The Senior IT Project Manager will lead complex infrastructure and operations projects from planning through execution while driving collaboration across technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership. This is an opportunity to play a key role in strategic technology investments that enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and enterprise performance.

Responsibilities for the Senior IT Project Manager include:

• Lead infrastructure and operations projects through the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and deliverables across multiple initiatives
• Drive data center migrations, cloud migration efforts, network modernization projects, system upgrades, hardware refreshes, and infrastructure lifecycle initiatives
• Coordinate engineering teams, vendors, business stakeholders, and executive leadership to ensure successful project outcomes
• Develop and maintain project governance artifacts including RAID logs, RACI matrices, project plans, dashboards, status reports, and executive presentations

Required Qualifications for the Senior IT Project Manager include:

• 8+ years of IT Project Management experience
• Demonstrated experience leading infrastructure-focused projects including data center migrations, server and storage upgrades, cloud initiatives, network modernization, and enterprise technology implementations
• Strong experience managing cross-functional technical teams, third-party vendors, and executive stakeholders
• Experience developing project governance documentation, reporting, risk mitigation strategies, and executive communications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)

Compensation for the Senior IT Project Manager includes:

• Salary Range: $140,000 - $155,000 depending on experience
• Full Benefits Package: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Sick leave as required by law
