Job summary

Astor & Sanders in McLean, VA seeks a Project Manager to lead IT projects with hybrid work options. You will manage schedules, resources, and cost analyses while coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet scope and milestones.

The role requires 10+ years in PM, PMP certification, and experience with government contracts and Agile practices. Proficiency with MS Project, Jira, and Trello is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, information technology, or engineering.
• 10+ years of project management experience, preferably in IT or software development.
• Previous experience supporting government contracts as a Project Manager
• Proven experience managing projects using Agile methodologies.
• PMP certification is required
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Trello, Jira).

Responsibilities

• Provide project management resources, as well as processes to control, plan, identify issues, monitor and track all work activities. This includes services and products to provide centralized administrative, clerical, documentation, and related services.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to project scope and objectives.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including tasks, timelines, and resource allocations.
• Perform an analysis of program costs and milestone performance, utilize processes, documentation, and reporting for all Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) elements, and Agile-derived elements.
• Assist in defining project requirements and system specifications.
• Conduct project meetings and provide guidance to project teams.
• Additional duties as assigned.
