A consulting firm is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead technology initiatives in Springfield, Illinois. The role requires 8+ years of experience in managing enterprise IT projects and strong proficiency in Agile methodologies. Qualifications
8+ years of IT Project Management experience leading enterprise or public sector technology projects.
Proven success managing Agile and hybrid delivery environments.
Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile frameworks, and project governance practices.
Responsibilities
Lead full project lifecycle: scope, planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk mitigation, and delivery.
Manage Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives, and backlog prioritization.
Develop and maintain project documentation (charters, RAID logs, schedules, and reports).
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and technical teams for solution alignment.
Oversee vendor deliverables and enforce accountability.
Support change management, training, and go‑live planning for technology rollouts.
Communicate project updates, metrics, and risk assessments to leadership and stakeholders.
