Job summary

BCforward is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead large, complex enterprise technology initiatives in Rochester, MN with remote work options. You will manage budgets up to $5M, coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver on time and within scope.

The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and delivery-focused execution, with PMP or equivalent certification preferred.

• Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years PM experience; PMP or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead large and complex projects and multiple concurrent initiatives, including program-level efforts.
• Own project planning, schedules, dependencies, resourcing, and execution with budget responsibility up to $5M.
• Facilitate meetings, manage action items, status reporting, and risk and issue management to drive completion.
• Engage senior technical resources to solicit input and resolve technology challenges.
• Coordinate across internal stakeholders and external consulting partners for year-end technology initiatives.
• Work with institutional committees and oversight bodies to align priorities and secure approvals.
• Support strategic, multi-year initiatives with comprehensive communication and management plans.
• Serve as subject matter expert on project management practices, methods, and standards.
• Promote a Project Focused Culture within the IT organization.
• Communicate complex technical information clearly to leadership and end users.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise methodologies, governance, and budget guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven leadership of large, complex IT projects with cross-functional and vendor teams.
• Expertise in project planning, scheduling, risk/issue management, and executive reporting.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with ability to drive accountability.
• Hands-on, execution-focused approach with comfort navigating complex environments.
• Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of project management experience with PMI Process Groups and Knowledge Areas, or Master's Degree and 7 years of related experience.
• PMP or comparable project management certification from a nationally recognized body, or ability to obtain within 3 years of hire.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Oracle and UKG environments and system integrations.
• Healthcare industry experience.
• Proficiency with Smartsheet for planning and reporting.
• Background operating within program or portfolio structures.
