Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. is seeking a Principal Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional technology initiatives within the Office of the CIO.

You will shape demand, size portfolios, and drive alignment across business and IT to deliver on time, within scope and budget. You will mentor and develop project managers, improve PMO practices, and manage budgets, forecasts, and vendor relationships while reporting to executive sponsors.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience managing complex or cross-functional projects
• Experience with IT supply chain or manufacturing operations program coordination
• Contract & vendor management experience
• Strong business case development and financial management skills
• Change management experience and process/tool adoption
• Deep understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid PM methodologies
• Governance and compliance awareness and execution

Responsibilities

• Shape and size the demand pipeline and help sequence and prioritize projects
• Lead a collection of complex, high-impact projects across departments
• Translate strategic objectives into detailed project plans with milestones
• Identify resources and manage budgets, forecasts, and vendor relationships
• Mitigate risks and dependencies across projects and workstreams
• Align business and technical teams for successful delivery
• Mentor junior project managers and contribute to PMO practice improvements
• Serve as primary liaison between stakeholders and leadership
• Create project artifacts and deliver status reports and governance documents
• Ensure smooth transition from project-mode to steady-state with IT and business teams
