Job summary

Harvard University is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead project execution and drive operational excellence for a defined subset of Technology Partner Services, including Platform Services. This role partners with the Associate Director of Operational Excellence and senior leaders to translate priorities into actionable plans, track delivery, and mitigate risk.

The position emphasizes execution discipline, governance, budget oversight, and cross-team coordination to ensure initiatives

Qualifications

• Minimum of seven years’ post-secondary education or relevant work experience.
• 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience.
• Strong leadership and people-management capabilities.
• Experience in higher education IT environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead project execution for a defined portfolio of Technology Partner Services initiatives.
• Translate priorities into executable plans; track delivery and manage risk.
• Coordinate stakeholders across service owners, architects, project teams, and central partners.
• Develop and maintain governance materials; provide leadership with timely updates.
• Manage budgets, financial reporting, and vendor relationships.
• Ensure service definitions, availability, performance, and security meet agreed targets.
• Lead change management and drive continuous improvement across services.
