Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. seeks a Senior Technical Program Manager to own end-to-end delivery of IT programs. You will drive planning, execution, and sustainment while reporting benefits to executive sponsors and governance boards.

You will lead program definition, integrated plans, risk mitigation, and stakeholder alignment, shaping transformation initiatives and PMO improvements across the organization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience with IT program management
• Experience as Project/Program Manager in an IT organization
• Technical background to evaluate risks and issues
• Experience on Enterprise Applications projects
• Experience managing external implementation providers
• Strong leadership, coaching and interpersonal skills
• Proven track record of stakeholder management and executive communication

Responsibilities

• Lead program definition, planning, scope, and execution; monitor health, risks and mitigation
• Define integrated program plans with detailed work breakdown structures
• Identify interdependencies between programs and scope/lead transformation opportunities
• Drive stakeholder alignment and report status to executives and governance boards
• Work independently in ambiguous circumstances to create clear paths forward
• Adopt best-practice PMO guidelines to continuously improve processes
