Job summary

Starr Companies seeks an IT Manager/Product Owner to lead a team supporting Commercial Policy Administration systems. You will drive the product backlog, collaborate with stakeholders to align the business roadmap, and deliver valuable capabilities in an Agile environment.

You will partner with internal teams and vendor partners, balancing strategic objectives with delivery constraints while ensuring excellent service to business users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with 5+ years IT team management experience.
• 5+ years experience in P&C Commercial Policy Admin is required.
• 5+ years experience as an IT Product Owner/Project Manager.
• Familiarity with development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and best practices.
• Agile Product Owner certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Strong business and technology acumen; strategic and executional thinker.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of analysts and developers for day-to-day application support and product enhancements.
• Translate business roadmap into product backlog and prioritize work items.
• Manage backlog, refine, schedule, and deploy features per stakeholders.
• Establish KPIs to monitor software quality and delivery performance.
• Support audit and governance requirements and enforce compliance.
• Plan, communicate release plans and set expectations for new capabilities.
• Identify risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate when needed.
• Provide vision and direction across the product lifecycle with stakeholder alignment.
• Manage project costs within approved budgets.
