Job summary

Weill Cornell Medicine seeks a senior IT Operations SME to provide technical leadership across core technologies, identify incidents, analyze trends, and ensure rapid resolution of issues within the Operations Center.

The role requires expert troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and collaboration with engineering and service owners. Expect 24x7 on-call coverage and on-site work in NYC offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or five years of equivalent technical experience.
• ITIL v3 Foundations highly desired.
• Advanced Linux, Microsoft, VMware, Network, Cisco, AWS, Azure, Security certification preferred.
• Experience with LDAP, Active Directory, DNS and DHCP technologies.
• Experience with monitoring tools, various operating systems, backup, and cloud technologies.
• Experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python, and Perl scripting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot processes, triage and recover for all infrastructure and data center environments.
• Escalate IT issues and collaborate with application and operational teams for resolution.
• Drive problem analysis and incident trending to improve services.
• Document operational requirements and participate in change management processes.
• Provide training and guidance to junior analysts and act as a backup for on-call support.
• Support data center activities and collaborate with engineering on service management.
