Job summary

Louisiana Blue is seeking a Senior IT Operations Center Engineer to plan, install, monitor, and maintain critical infrastructure for corporate systems. You will ensure security, performance, and reliability of platform components and provide extended technical support to clients and colleagues.

The role requires 5+ years of hosting or data center experience, strong Linux/UNIX networking, and hands-on experience with monitoring, backup, and automation tools. Louisiana residency preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
• Four years of related experience in hosting environments, data centers, NOC or similar to include network/server troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
• Monitor and test application performance for bottlenecks and coordinate fixes with developers.
• Maintain security, backup and redundancy strategies.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot problems on LANs and data networks using UNIX/Linux.
• Research problems, plan solutions and coordinate developments to meet business needs.
• Write and maintain custom scripts to improve efficiency.
• Participate in designing information and operational support systems.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support and liaise with vendors.
• Interact with customers to define design requirements and deliverables.
• Contribute to long-term NOC strategies.
