Job summary

Quartermaster AI is seeking an on-site IT Engineer to support the network backbone, security posture, and cross-domain infrastructure across multiple US sites. You will handle help desk to senior escalations, design and stand up networks, and maintain air-gapped environments for high-side data transfers.

The role requires hands-on expertise with endpoints, firewalls, and enterprise networking, plus experience in classified environments and RMF/ATO processes. U.S.

Qualifications

• 6-9 years in IT engineering, systems administration, or network engineering with senior-level support responsibilities.
• Experience designing and standing up secure LAN/WAN, wireless, and VPN across multiple sites.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise network hardware and troubleshooting complex issues.
• Experience administering endpoints and identity across macOS, Windows, and Linux (MDM).
• Experience standing up secure or classified networks (air-gapped/multi-enclave).

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end IT operations support across hardware, software, OS, and connectivity for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
• Manage endpoints, identity provisioning, MDM, and access control via identity providers.
• Onboard/offboard provisioning and deprovisioning of accounts and devices.
• Administer SaaS and collaboration tools; maintain IT asset inventory and runbooks.
• Enforce IT security policies with the security team; collaborate on RMF/ATO prep.
• Improve IT processes, tooling, automation, and mentor junior staff.
• Design, deploy, and maintain multi-site LAN/WAN, wireless, VPN infrastructure.
• Configure network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, APs) with VLANs, OSPF/BGP, QoS, DNS.
• Build and maintain classified/air-gapped networks and cross-domain solutions.
• Manage cross-domain data transfers and associated security controls.
• Harden infrastructure to DISA STIGs and RMF/ATO processes.
• Troubleshoot and monitor network performance; provide on-call support.
