Job summary

Amentum is seeking a CTF Assistant Lab Manager to lead a 25-person IT team at Schriever Space Force Base. You will supervise daily IT operations, provide technical leadership for the C2BMC Test Facility, and drive improvements aligned with the PWS and baselines.

The role requires a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, an active DoW Secret clearance, and 10+ years of IT experience with at least 2 years in leadership. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of general (full-time) work experience.
• 5+ years directly related experience.
• 6+ months of experience in a management or leadership role.
• Knowledge of basic systems engineering processes, risk management, trade studies/analysis, and verification & validation.
• Experience supervising IT and technical professionals.
• Experience with IT platforms (networks, workstations, servers, operating systems, virtualization, maintenance).
• At least 8 years of directly related IT experience.
• At least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher.
• Active DoW Secret Security Clearance.
• May be reduced with completion of advanced education.

Responsibilities

• Supervise IT testbed supporting MDA program activities.
• Provide technical lead for all Delivery Team activities in the C2BMC Test Facility.
• Identify challenges and implement strategies to mature the program.
• Ensure teams follow PWS, baselines, and docs.
• Collaborate with system admins, network engineers, and cyber experts.
• Provide engineering direction to team members.
• Establish and improve IT operation processes.
• Advise on system development, processes, and optimization.
• Ensure proper configuration management practices.
• Evaluate skills and plan training for team.
• Plan and participate in tech interchange meetings.
• Develop and present readiness/status briefs.
• Serve as Lab Manager when required.
