Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in San Francisco is seeking a Senior IT Internal Auditor to lead technology, cybersecurity, and AI-related audit engagements. Reporting to Internal Audit Manager, you will drive audit execution with minimal supervision across TDI, Security, Engineering, and stakeholders.

You will mentor junior staff, apply professional judgment, and advance Internal Audit methodology while leveraging data analytics and AI tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, STEM, Accounting, or related field
• 3-6 years audit experience with technology/cybersecurity
• 2+ years audit experience in diverse technology environments (OS, networks, cloud)
• 2+ years audit experience with technology operational processes (SDLC, data protection, IAM)
• Experience assessing AI risks (generative AI, ML)
• Strong ability to execute complex audits independently
• Proven ability to identify systemic root causes of control deficiencies
• Knowledge of ITGCs and ITACs including cybersecurity, SDLC, IAM, auditing in cloud environments
• Proficiency in data analytics tools (SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI)
• Excellent written and verbal communication; stakeholder management

Responsibilities

• Lead technology, cybersecurity, and AI-related risk assessments and audit programs
• Design risk-based audit procedures tailored to technology environments
• Perform fieldwork and testing with minimal supervision
• Evaluate design and operation of technology controls
• Document scope, evidence, and conclusions with concise audit workpapers
• Leverage data analytics and AI tools to enhance audit efficiency
• Mentor junior auditors on methodology and testing techniques
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure remediation actions are completed
