Job summary

Baird is seeking a skilled Infrastructure Architect to connect IT Operations technologies across cloud, SaaS, and on-premise platforms. The role emphasizes coordinating strategy, delivering integrated roadmaps, and enabling business outcomes with a team-of-teams mindset.

The position is hybrid, requiring three onsite days per week, and focuses on enterprise architecture, security governance, and modernization of workplace infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in infrastructure, cloud, or systems engineering.
• 3+ years leading complex cross-team initiatives in a large IT environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT-related field.

Responsibilities

• Connect infrastructure tech and teams to form a cohesive, business-aligned ecosystem.
• Lead cross-team architecture discussions to align tradeoffs and direction.
• Translate multi-platform architecture into actionable roadmaps for leaders.
• Integrate cloud, SaaS, and on-premise infra into a single architecture.
• Align Teams, AV, and endpoints for smooth meeting experiences.
• Collaborate with PMs and BAs to shape infra options before designs.
• Assist in integrating AI capabilities within security and governance.
• Serve as a senior technical resource during major incidents.
• Coach engineers on architecture thinking and communication.
• Escalation point to optimize trade-offs for the best outcome.
