Job summary

Baird is seeking an Infrastructure Architect to connect IT Operations technologies and teams, building a cohesive, business-aligned ecosystem across on‑prem, cloud, and SaaS platforms.

The role emphasizes leading cross‑team discussions, turning complex architectures into actionable roadmaps, and guiding enterprise‑scale decisions with credibility and pragmatism. A hybrid schedule requires three onsite days weekly.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, systems engineering or related technology disciplines.
• At least 3 years leading complex technical or cross-team initiatives in a large IT environment.
• Solid grasp of Azure, M365 (Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, Intune) and identity (Entra ID).
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Connect infrastructure technologies and teams to form a cohesive, business-aligned ecosystem.
• Lead cross-team architecture discussions to align on tradeoffs, dependencies, and direction.
• Translate multi‑platform architecture into roadmaps and executive‑level presentations.
• Integrate cloud, SaaS, and on‑prem infrastructure into a coherent architecture and resolve gaps.
• Align Teams, AV/conference rooms, and endpoints for a smooth meeting experience.
• Partner with PMs and BAs to shape options and define network, security, and platform requirements.
• Help integrate AI capabilities within security and governance guidelines for infrastructure.
• Serve as senior technical resource during major incidents to drive faster resolution.
• Coach engineers and tech leads on architecture thinking and communication.
