Job summary

HDR in Omaha seeks a Senior IT Financial Analyst to drive cost transparency and governance across technology budgets. The role partners with technology, finance, and business units to optimize spend and implement showback and chargeback models.

You will mentor the team in FinOps and TBM practices, manage complex IT asset programs, and help ensure audit readiness while delivering measurable cost savings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; equivalent experience.
• At least five years of IT Asset Management experience with multiple projects.
• Experience partnering with business users to set priorities and manage expectations.
• Strong written and verbal communication; client-service oriented.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and improve financial processes for technology investments.
• Partner with tech, finance, and business teams to manage budgets and spend.
• Analyze cloud and tech cost usage to identify optimization opportunities.
• Develop and support showback and chargeback models.
• Identify savings via rightsizing, license optimization, and decommissioning unused resources.
• Establish governance and cost-management practices for audit readiness.
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and track timelines.
• Mentor team on FinOps, TBM, and cost-optimization.
• Contribute to IT Asset Management procedures and governance.
