Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior IT Financial Analyst to optimize operating and financial processes, aligning with FinOps and TBM best practices. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related field.
• Minimum 5 years IT asset management experience across multiple projects.
• Experience working with business users to set priorities and expectations.
• Self-starter with ability to manage tasks under tight deadlines.
• Excellent client service and communication skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication; engineering or construction background a plus.
• Experience with Budgeting, Forecasting, and P&L impact.

• Evaluate and optimize operational and financial processes to improve cost efficiency, transparency, and alignment with FinOps and TBM best practices.
• Partner with technology, finance and business stakeholders to manage budgets, monitor spend, and drive accountability across cost centers.
• Analyze cost and usage data across cloud and technology environments to identify optimization opportunities and improve resource efficiency.
• Implement and support showback/chargeback models to increase visibility and ownership of technology spend.
• Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives (rightsizing, license optimization, decommissioning unused resources).
• Establish and enforce financial governance and cost management best practices to support audit readiness.
• Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives to align financial objectives with technology delivery and timelines.
• Provide guidance and mentorship on FinOps and TBM principles; foster cost-awareness culture.
• Contribute to IT Asset Management best practices and procedures.
