Job summary

HDR, a global engineering and IT services firm, seeks a Senior IT Financial Analyst to optimize technology cost governance and drive FinOps and TBM best practices. You will partner with technology, finance, and business teams to manage budgets, monitor spend, and deliver transparent cost insights across cloud and on‑prem resources.

The role focuses on cost optimization, showback/chargeback models, and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years IT asset management experience.
• Experience coordinating multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong client service and communication skills.
• Ability to work with business users to set priorities.
• Engineering/Construction background a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and optimize IT cost processes for FinOps and TBM.
• Partner with technology, finance, and business stakeholders on budgets and spend.
• Analyze cost and usage data to identify optimization opportunities.
• Implement showback/chargeback models for cost visibility.
• Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives (rightsizing, licensing).
• Establish financial governance and audit readiness.
• Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives aligning tech with finances.
• Mentor team on FinOps principles and cost optimization best practices.
• Contribute to IT Asset Management best practices and procedures.
