Job summary

National Grid is seeking a Senior Analyst - Finance Business Partner, IT to join the Corporate Finance team in Waltham, MA, with options for Syracuse or Brooklyn offices. This role supports US IT through planning, forecasting, reporting, and business partnering to drive financial performance.

You will work closely with IT leaders and Finance to provide insights, develop scenarios, and improve processes. The position requires strong Excel/PowerPoint skills and experience in financial modeling.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or related field.
3+ years in finance, FP&A, or related roles within complex, matrixed organizations.
Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into insights and drive decisions.
Ability to influence stakeholders in a matrixed environment with data-backed reasoning.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SAP and Power BI is a plus.
Experience building financial models and management reporting to support planning and performance.

Responsibilities

Support IT planning, forecasting, and performance management.
Prepare financial analysis, commentary, and scenario assessments for decisions.
Identify risks, opportunities, and variances and explain drivers and trade-offs.
Partner with IT, Business Units, Plan to Perform, and other stakeholders.
Contribute to process improvement, reporting consistency, and knowledge sharing.
