Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a Principal IT Specialist to support the ION RightAngle ETRM system and related integrations in Houston. The role emphasizes strong customer service, collaboration with end-users, developers and managers, and hands-on involvement in upgrades and releases.

The candidate should have 10+ years in application support, strong SQL skills, and a solid understanding of oil & gas commodities, with experience working across data flows in a complex back-to-front office

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
• 10+ years in application support.
• Strong SQL and database concepts.
• Experience with RightAngle/ETRM systems.
• Familiarity with SDLC and ticketing tools.

Responsibilities

• Interact daily with end-users and developers to support RightAngle.
• Document issues and enhancements for the development team.
• Assist with data questions and end-user inquiries.
• Create and maintain system design documents.
• Complete analysis, testing and deployments for upgrades and releases.
• Follow change management procedures and internal guidelines.
• Provide after-hours support for business-critical tasks.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to best practices.
• Manage multiple tasks with limited supervision.
• Ensure compliance and clear communication across the org.
