Job summary

Unity Environmental University seeks a Director of Information Systems to lead the University's technology environment, reporting to the CIO. The role is a senior hands-on technology leader responsible for secure, reliable, and strategic IT operations across infrastructure, applications, and security.

Initially, a learning period of 3–6 months with shadowing the CIO will precede portfolio assignment. The incumbent will coordinate with IT leaders and university stakeholders to deliver technology

Qualifications

• Senior IT leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CIO to set technology priorities and plans
• Lead complex technology projects across systems and teams
• Assess risks, dependencies, and opportunities in IT initiatives
• Oversee infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications
• Ensure documentation, governance, and continuity planning
• Manage vendor relationships and technology budgeting
• Support system upgrades, deployments, and incident response
• Provide leadership and mentorship to IT staff
