Job summary

AnaVation seeks a highly experienced Information Technology/Data Warehousing Subject Matter Expert to support enterprise-scale migration of legacy data into a secure cloud solution. The selected candidate will oversee architecture, design, deployment, validation, and transition of legacy systems and data into a modern cloud-based data platform.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or 5 years of equivalent experience.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT, Data Engineering, or Data Warehousing.
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise modernization or migration projects, preferably in government.
Senior-level expertise in system modernization, data migration, data engineering, and database systems.
Experience migrating sensitive data from legacy systems to modern cloud environments securely.
Experience extracting data, metadata, and markings from legacy applications and storage.
Designing storage solutions for legacy and modern architectures.
Familiarity with on-premises and cloud environments, AWS preferred.
End-to-end data validation, quality checks, and data reconciliation experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to document requirements, risks, and recommendations.
On-site work in Huntsville, Alabama.
Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility and CI polygraph is required.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture, design, deployment, validation, and transition of legacy data to a cloud-based data platform.
Oversee secure migration and ensure accessibility in the modernized system.
Collaborate with government personnel at multiple levels during migration lifecycle.
Ensure secure handling of sensitive information throughout the migration process.
Work on-site with the customer in Huntsville, AL; remote work is not supported.
