Job summary
AnaVation is seeking an experienced Senior ETL/Data Migration Engineer to join our Huntsville, Alabama-based program. You will architect, operate, validate, and optimize high-volume ETL pipelines moving data from legacy environments to cloud platforms.
You will lead cross-functional efforts with Cloud Engineers, DevSecOps, DBAs, and QA, ensuring data quality and reliability across migrations for a federal modernization program.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of ETL, data engineering, or migration experience.
- Strong experience with ETL tools, scripting languages, automation frameworks, and high-volume pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with legacy system extraction, cloud ingestion, and multi-format data transformation.
- Must work full-time on-site in Huntsville, AL with TS clearance.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for petabyte-scale data migration.
- Lead operational ETL tasks, ensure correct sequencing and data validation during cycles.
- Perform data quality checks, validation, and root-cause analysis for defects.
- Collaborate with Cloud Engineers, Data Engineers, DevSecOps, DBAs, QA, and Product Owners.
- Create and maintain ETL documentation, data maps, and SOPs.
