Job summary

GEODIS in Dallas seeks an IT systems administrator to assist with installing and maintaining computer, telecommunication, and networking systems across the campus. You will troubleshoot hardware and software, manage WMS configurations, and enforce security policies.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science and at least one year of related experience. Expertise with Red Prairie or Manhattan LMS is a plus, along with strong proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science from a 4-year college or university.
• 1 year of related experience and/or training.
• Knowledge of third-party logistics, transportation systems, and/or warehouse management systems including Red Prairie or Manhattan LMS preferred.
• PC proficient with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word Access, and Excel

Responsibilities

• Assist with installing and maintaining computer systems, telecommunication systems, networking systems and other required systems.
• Provide testing and troubleshooting of hardware/software, including PC’s, printers and RF scanners, and new computer configurations.
• Assist with enforcing policies for user rights and security.
• Assist with programming pick paths and product placements within WMS.
• Lead projects to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks to achieve goals.
• Assist with tests and recommendations for WMS enhancements.
• Assist in designing and implementation of A/B testing procedures for data extraction.
• Coordinate backup of network resources and data throughout the network.
• Maintain up to date virus software and definitions on all computer systems throughout the campus.
• Administers process control, training and equipment needs.
• Review system reports and/or process logs to troubleshoot and resolve errors.
