Job summary

Avid Technology Professionals, LLC seeks an Information Technology Senior Consultant 5 in Laurel, MD to lead engineering efforts and design modern HDI solutions for secure developer environments. The role emphasizes virtualization, storage, and network infrastructure across multi-domain platforms.

Qualifications

Experience leading medium to large projects.
Ability to design and implement Hosted Desktop Infrastructure to meet security requirements.
Experience with VMware vCloud environments.

Responsibilities

Lead Engineer maintaining datacenters containing multi-domain, cross-platform networks.
Evaluate and design an updated Hosted Desktop Infrastructure (HDI) solution for developer environments to meet new security restrictions.
Install, Configure and support VMware vCloud environment.
Design and implement storage solutions utilizing NetApp clusters to replace current end of life storage systems.
Set up and maintain Cisco UCS hardware for virtual environment.
Install, configure and support mobile cellular and wireless networks including switches, routers, gateways or servers to support campus/system-wide networks.
Implement a Mac OSX virtual environment for development testing.
Setting up GUI based deployment server that provides Windows and Linux desktop installations from the same application.
Lead medium to large complex projects and major phases of very large projects.
