Job summary

ComTec is seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst with full software life cycle experience to lead requirements workshops, document user stories, and translate business needs into technical specs. You will collaborate with developers to design solutions and create wireframes while ensuring QA and testing coverage.

You will own AS-IS/TO-BE processes, develop test plans, and work with business stakeholders to refine processes and drive improvements across projects at ComTec.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience working as an IT business analyst.
• 7+ years’ experience with elicitation and documentation of requirements.
• Strong understanding of Waterfall methodology from requirements to deployment.
• Familiarity with IT project management methodologies and QA processes.
• Experience developing test plans and performing manual testing.
• Experience designing and implementing technical environments using various technologies.
• Must have AS-IS and TO-BE process flows experience.
• Understanding of business re-engineering principles and translating requirements.
• Basic programming knowledge and database understanding.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead business requirements workshops and document requirements.
• Develop and document User Stories and TO-BE processes with the dev team.
• Create wireframes or prototypes from business input for development.
• Document use cases, requirements, traceability matrices, and test cases.
• Create process diagrams and technical workflows.
• Conduct business process/systems analysis via workshops.
• Document AS-IS and TO-BE processes.
• Own functional specs and QA, define reporting and alerting needs.
• Participate in user requirement sessions to identify improvements.
• Translate requirements into technical specs and assist in project plans.
