Job summary

Kforce Inc in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Senior IT Auditor to plan and execute risk-based IT audits across applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and technology operations. You will collaborate with technology, security, risk, compliance, and business stakeholders to ensure controls are effective.

You will evaluate ITGC design and operating effectiveness, test controls, document results, and communicate findings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IS/IT/Cybersecurity/Accounting/Finance or related field.
• 4+ years of IT audit, technology risk, information security, or related experience.
• Experience assessing controls: identity & access management, change management, cybersecurity, data management.
• Strong ITGCs knowledge and technology risk management.
• Familiarity with NIST, COBIT, ISO 27001, SOC, and SOX.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate risks clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute risk-based IT audits across applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operations.
• Evaluate ITGC design and operating effectiveness (access, change, SDLC, operations).
• Test, document results, and communicate audit findings and recommendations.
• Assess risks related to information security, data protection, third parties, business continuity, and DR.
• Partner with technology, security, risk, compliance, and business stakeholders through the audit lifecycle.
• Review remediation plans and perform follow-up testing.
• Analyze processes and controls to improve risk management, efficiency, and governance.
• Prepare clear audit documentation and management reports.
• Support regulatory examinations, external audits, and other risk activities.
• Stay current on emerging tech risks, cybersecurity threats, and regulatory expectations.
