Job summary
Popular is seeking an experienced IT and Cyber Audit leader to oversee the Audit Division's IT and Cyber audit function. You will guide governance, risk assessment, and engagement quality while collaborating with the General Auditor and Audit Committee.
The role requires 7+ years in IT/audit, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of IIA standards, COBIT, NIST frameworks, and emerging technologies. Hybrid work is offered, with a focus on strategic improvements and stakeholder management.
Qualifications
- Seven (7) or more years of experience overseeing IT and Cyber audits, reviews, and advisory engagements.
- Experience in public accounting, internal audit, or financial services with IT/cyber risk focus.
- Leadership experience managing audit teams, including hiring, performance management, coaching, and mentoring.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Oversight & Leadership: Lead and oversee the IT and Cyber audit function and quality assurance per IIA Standards.
- Technical Governance & Execution: Oversee scoping, risk assessment, control evaluation, and testing quality.
- Stakeholder Management & Reporting: Assist Audit Committee presentations and engage regulators; monitor IT audit metrics and staffing.
