Job summary

FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND CONSUMER SERVICES is seeking a Senior Management Analyst I - SES for the Office of Inspector General in Tallahassee. The incumbent will plan and conduct IT and cybersecurity audits, contract reviews, and other assurance activities for the agency and partner entities.

The role requires strong knowledge of accounting, auditing standards, and data analysis, with the ability to mentor junior staff and deliver findings to management. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and procedures.
• Ability to perform routine or special audits; interpret and apply laws and policies; prepare audit reports.
• Proficient computer skills with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct IT audits and cybersecurity audits independently or as a team member.
• Provide consulting and technical assistance to agency staff and the Office of the Inspector General.
• Prepare working papers and reports; discuss findings with leadership; support continuous improvement.
